Paraorchestra became the first orchestra of disabled musicians to perform in a joint project with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, at Symphony Hall in February 2017.

Conducted by Hazlewood, the programme included the world premiere of a new and wildly unprecedented full orchestral version of Corelli’s La Follia, a new work by Adrian Lee, and a grand slam performance of Associate Music Director and principal clarinettist of the Paraorchestra Lloyd Coleman’s Towards Harmony.

The concert further reinforces Paraorchestra’s objective to fully integrate disabled musicians into the orchestral tradition.
